
Men’s Golf in Sixth After Second Round at Bucknell Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Blake Wisdom held on to a share of the lead after posting a 73, but the Bucknell men's golf team dropped three spots into sixth place on day two of the Bucknell Invitational on Monday. The Bison compiled a 296 team score and will start Tuesday's final round 12 shots off the lead.
Wisdom grabbed the first-round lead after shooting 67 on Sunday. He followed that up with a 3-over-par 73 and is now tied atop the individual leaderboard with Rider's Zander Gibson and Cornell's Benjamin Choe at even-par 140. Five players loom two shots back and 25 players are within five shots of the lead.
Andres Barraza rebounded from an early double-bogey at the par-5 third hole to match Wisdom's 73. The Bison also counted a 74 from James Robbins, who went out in 41 but shot 33 on the back nine, and a 76 from Jack Gardner.
Bucknell has a 587 total through 36 holes, 12 behind tournament leader Robert Morris. Rider is two back at 577, followed by Holy Cross (578), Mount St. Mary's (585), Sacred Heart (586), and Bucknell. Cornell and Saint Joseph's are one shot behind the Bison.
Bucknell's B squad beat the A group on Monday, as Michael Rudnick's 71 led the way to a 294 team score. Rudnick holed out for eagle at the par-4 12th hole not long after making a birdie at the par-5 9th. Max Orwicz carded a career-best 73, followed by a 74 from James Key and a 76 from Josh Holtschlag. Key made five birdies on the day and was one hole – a quad at the par-4 17th – from posting one of the better rounds in the field.
Third-round tee times start at 9 a.m. at the Bucknell Golf Club. Bucknell's A team gets going at 9:50 a.m. off the first tee, while the B unit starts at 10:10 off hole No. 10.
