RESULTS
HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Bucknell men's golf team finished up play at Colgate's Alex Lagowitz Memorial Invitational with a 302 team tally on Sunday. The Bison started the day in a top-five position but slipped to a 10th-place finish.
Jason Lohwater was in contention at the top of the individual leaderboard throughout the tournament. He was one shot off the lead midway through his final round, but a tough five-hole stretch late in his back nine ended his title hopes. It was still a good showing for the Bison senior, who shot 69-74-76 and finished T-13th.
Jackson Bussell posted Bucknell's low round on Sunday with a 2-over-par 74. Michael Rudnick followed with a 75, Jack Gardner and Blake Wisdom both shot 77, and Jake Maddaloni closed with an 80.
Yale went wire-to-wire for the team victory. The Bulldogs finished at 2-under 862, good for a 15-shot win over runner-up Seton Hall (877). Rhode Island was third at 882, followed by Colgate (885) and St. Bonaventure (887).
Colgate's Dugan McCabe earned medalist honors on his home course. McCabe shot 71-70-73 for a 54-hole total of 2-under 215. St. John's Peicheng Chen, Lafayette's Ryan Tall, and Rhode Island's Brandon Gillis all finished one shot back.
The Bison return to tournament play on Sept. 25-26 at the McDonald Cup, hosted by Yale.
