SHAMOKIN DAM, Pa. -- The Bucknell rowing team had another good dual-meet performance, sweeping all three races from Fordham on Saturday afternoon on the Susquehanna River.

Bucknell's Varsity Eight will be competing on Sunday at the George Cup in Fairfax, Virginia, so it was up to the Second Varsity Eight to turn in the fastest time of the day. The Bison 2V8+ lined up against Fordham's 1V8+ and 2V8+, and Bucknell rowed to a nine-second victory with a time of 6:51.25 on the 2,000-meter course.

The Bison Third Varsity Eight finished in 7:20.14, good for a 15-second win over the Rams. The Varsity Four was also a convincing winner, rowing to a 20-second win with a time of 8:01.39.

Bucknell's Varsity Eight will compete against George Mason and George Washington on Sunday at 8 a.m. on the Occoquan Reservoir.
