About the Bison
- Bucknell is coming off a 4-1 loss at Lehigh, but hung tough after clawing back from a 2-0 deficit early on before the Mountain Hawks scored two late goals to pull away in the final 15 minutes.
- Trevor Wiggins found the back of the net for the second time in as many games, once again capitalizing off of a set piece after Matt Thorsheim whipped in a perfect free kick towards the back post.
- Wiggins, a senior captain, also had several close chances all with his head in the second half, as the Annapolis native, who will be playing in his hometown on Saturday, has proven to be a towering threat in the box.
- Thorsheim has provided quality deliveries on set pieces this season with his two assists in two appearances, and scored a brace from two set pieces in Bucknell's 2-0 quarterfinal win over the Mids in 2019 when the two teams last met.
- Patrick O'Hara has contributed Bucknell's other goal this season, the sixth of his career. O'Hara's six goals in his career have come on nine shots on target.
- The four goals conceded by the Bison were the most by the program since a 4-1 defeat to Navy on the final day of the 2018 season, which stopped a streak of 11 straight games by the Bison of conceding one goal or fewer. The 11-game streak also included five clean sheets.
- The last game Bucknell conceded more than one goal before last Saturday came in Annapolis in a 2-0 defeat to Navy on October 16, 2019.
- Bucknell is currently tied with Lehigh in divisional play with a 1-1 record, and has already defeated American, who leads the South Division with a 2-1 mark. The match will be the first game in divisional play for Navy, who played Colgate in its Patriot League opener.
- The top two teams from each division will qualify for the Patriot League Tournament this season.
- Saturday's game will be the 47th meeting between the two schools, with the Mids holding a 27-15-4 advantage.
- The two teams last met in the Patriot League Quarterfinals last year, with Bucknell taking a 2-0 win. Navy, ranked No. 21 at the time, defeated Bucknell 2-0 in the regular season last year.
- The Bison have won four of the past six meetings between the two schools.
- Bucknell will host Colgate on Saturday, April 3.
