Bucknell-Eastern Michigan Rowing Competition Canceled

LEWISBURG, Pa. --Â The Bucknell-Eastern Michigan rowing competition, scheduled for Saturday afternoon, has been postponed due to high water levels on the Susquehanna River.Â
Warm, sunny weather also led to the cancelation of the season-opening competition against George Mason last weekend. While the teams were eager to compete for the first time in over a year, the river did not cooperate. Warm temperatures in the second week of March resulted in significant snowmelt, and the resulting river depths and speeds surpassed the long-established thresholds in place for racing as well as practicing.
Bucknell's next scheduled competition is slated for March 27 at home against West Virginia.Â
