About the Bison
• After nearly two weeks off, the Bison are set to hit the field again this weekend at the Thundering Herd Round Robin tournament in Huntington, W.Va. Bucknell will face both Marshall and Rutgers twice over the weekend.
• Bucknell is 6-8 through three weekends of play. Five of Bucknell's losses came during its most recent weekend of competition where it faced NC State, Indiana, and Saint Joseph's.
• One of the bright spots for the Bison during the NC State-hosted invitational was the play of sophomore Nicole Rivait, who finished the weekend with six RBIs and three home runs. Rivait ranks second on the team with a .324 batting average and possesses a team-high .676 slugging percentage.
• Bucknell's hits leader is sophomore Allyse Volpe. Volpe is batting .372 this season and is 11-for-12 on stolen base attempts.
• Freshman Chase Knapp has posted a team-high nine RBIs through 14 games. Knapp was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week earlier in the season.
• Hailie Mariano, Jess Hom, and Taylor Wolfgang are all hitting above .250 as well.
• Senior pitcher Raeanne Geffert leads the Bison with four wins in the circle this season. Geffert, who set program records for career strikeouts, wins, and innings pitched earlier in the year, also leads Bucknell with 80 strikeouts. The Seymour, Conn. native is one away from tying the all-time games pitched record.
• Freshman pitcher Kaiya Burton is 2-1 in the circle. Burton has racked up 37 strikeouts, including a career-high 12 in a win over Saint Francis.
Scouting the Opponents
• Rutgers – The Scarlet Knights opened the season 5-2, but sit at 8-11 overall through four weekends of invitationals. Rutgers is fresh off of a 5-1 win over Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Rutgers lost 8-3 to Army in the season opener.
• Marshall – Marshall sports a 15-5 record and has won seven games in a row. The Herd is 2-0 at home after sweeping Akron in a doubleheader on Wednesday. Marshall sophomore Mya Stevenson was named Conference USA Player of the Week on Monday.
Series History with the Opponents
• Rutgers – Bucknell is 1-2 in all-time meetings with the Scarlet Knights. The Bison last faced Rutgers in March of 2018 and split the series 1-1.
• Marshall – The Bison are 1-7 in all-time meetings with Marshall, including a 9-4 loss back on Feb. 7. Jess Hom went 2-for-3 in that game with an RBI and two runs scored.

• Bucknell sees its first midweek matchup of the season when it challenges the Virginia Cavaliers in a doubleheader in Charlottesville, Va. on Tuesday, March 10. Bucknell then plays a doubleheader against George Washington in Washington, D.C. on March 11.
