"We are very excited to be at the Sykes Sabock Challenge at Penn State," said Head Coach Kevin Donner. "It's a smaller meet which allows our athlete to really be focused and excited to compete as well as supporting their teammates. Every event is very competitive, with some great teams in the northeast competing. There is not a weak event, and now that we are beyond the middle of the season, we need to be at or near our best."

About the Bison
- This will be Bucknell's first visit to the Sykes-Sabock Challenge since the 2008-09 season, where the team finished tenth overall.
- Karly Forker had Bucknell's top individual finish at last week's Penn State National Open, placing second in the 1000 (2:55.68). Forker, a sophomore, owns the eighth-fastest mark in Bucknell history in the event (2:53.66).
- Also earning a runner-up finish at University Park was Ashlyn Ramos in the 3000 (10:05.77)
- Alexandra Butz placed third in the high jump behind jumpers from Penn State and Maryland (5-5), one week after a personal-best mark in the pole vault at the Gulden Invitational (11-7.75). The mark for Butz in the pole vault ranks ninth in the Patriot League.
- Gianna Macones added a win in the long jump at the Bison Open and Multi (18-8.5) just short of her personal-best (19-0) set at the Angry Birds Challenge. The sophomore from Sparta, N.J. has now won the long jump in back-to-back meets. Macones also set a new personal-best in the triple jump (37-9.25) last weekend. Macones has also set a personal-best in three different events (long jump, 60H, and triple jump) in her last three meets.
- Delia Sipe won the shot put at the Bison Open and Multi (44-4.25), and has won the event in three of her past four meets. Her season-best of 45-5.25 set at the Gulden Invite ranks second in the Patriot League.
- Michaela Bracken, after entering the Bucknell top ten in the pentathlon last weekend (3365), ranks second in the Patriot League behind Lindsay Lewis of Navy (3547).
- Bucknell will compete at the Doug Raymond Invitational hosted by Kent State on Friday, Feb. 14- Saturday Feb. 15.
