Women's Track and Field Hosts Bucknell Tune-Up

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell University women's track and field team will host one more meet at Gerhard Fieldhouse on Friday, the Bucknell Tune-Up, before the Patriot League Championships on February 29-March 1.

"We have a lot of different missions for this meet," said Head Coach Kevin Donner. "Some of our athletes will sit it out and train for leagues, while others are still trying to make the league lineup. Others will be just trying to tuneup for the League Meet and competing in an off event. Some of the field event athletes will just be trying to improve on their season-best, and others will just try to end their indoor seasons on a high note."

About the Bison
- Kaitlin Salisbury added a new personal-best in the 200 on Friday at the Doug Raymond Invitational hosted by Kent State. The senior finished in 24.69, .15 better than her previous mark that ranks third in the Bucknell top ten. Salisbury's time was also just .04 from tying Kim Nagotko for the second-fastest mark in Bucknell history. The top mark currently belongs to Jess Bridle (24.37), who set the record in 2016.
- Salisbury also garnered a solid mark in the triple jump (38-0.75) in finishing sixth.
- Emily Deschler posted a solid runner-up finish in the 5000 on Friday, which led four Bucknell runners in the top 12 including Mia Bellucci (5th), Hope Beyer (6th), and Jamie Falla (12th).
- Ashlyn Ramos had a strong weekend, winning the 3000 in commanding fashion in an ECAC-standard time of 9:55.14, as well as recording Bucknell's lone win on Saturday.
- Karly Forker also capped off a successful weekend for the distance group, finishing runner-up in the mile (5:01.85).
- At last year's Bucknell Tune-Up, Tia Tardy earned ECAC qualification in the 800 (2:13.19) in taking first place.
- Delia Sipe posted a new personal-best toss in the shot put at last year's Tune-Up that ranks fourth in the Bucknell record books (46-5.25).
Bucknell will look ahead to the Patriot League Championships hosted by Lehigh on Saturday, Feb. 29-Sunday, March 1.
