Men's Swim & Dive Edged by Johns Hopkins, 158-133

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell men's swimming & diving team was edged by Johns Hopkins, 158-133, on Friday afternoon at Kinney Natatorium.
The Bison (5-3, 4-2 Patriot League) had five individual event winners. In addition, the 200 freestyle relay squad of Leo Kuyl, Jack Rose, Matt McGoey and Matt Mills raced to a first-place finish.
Notably, Kuyl (50 freestyle), Rose (100 backstroke) and McGoey (200 IM) were among Bucknell's individual victors. The others were divers Nick Pirone (1-meter) and Garrett Sommer (3-meter).
The Bison swept the 1-meter board, with Sommer and Will Cadwallader finishing right behind Pirone.
The Blue Jays are a nationally ranked Division III program that finished fourth at the NCAA Division III Championships four of the past five seasons. This was the second meeting between Bucknell and Johns Hopkins. A season ago, the Blue Jays scored a 174-114 victory over the Bison at Kinney Natatorium.
Bucknell returns to action tomorrow at 6 p.m. by hosting Army West Point. The dual meet, which was originally scheduled for 12 p.m. at the Black Knights' Crandall Pool, was moved to the Bison's Kinney Natatorium on Friday morning.
