Seven Student-Athletes Named to Swimming and Diving Academic All-Patriot League Team

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Seven student-athletes on the Bucknell swimming and diving teams were named to the Academic All-Patriot League teams announced by the League office on Thursday.
On the men's side, Braden Beagle, Jack Krug and James Lombardi were named to the 18-member team. Jennifer Bolden, Sydney Dettmann, Kyla Kelly and Clara Renner were selected to the 18-member women's team.
All seven Bison athletes are first-time members of the Academic All-PL squad. Student-Athletes must earn a 3.20 GPA or higher to be eligible. Beagle, Lombardi, Bolden, Dettmann, Kelly and Renner are all members of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Renner was the eighth-highest scorer with 81 points at the Patriot League championships, and she won gold in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:58.63. Renner was an All-Patriot League First Team selection last year and was the 2025 Rookie of the Meet.
Bucknell's 800 freestyle relay team took bronze on the first night, and Renner swam the first leg as the Bison swam a time of 7:19.33. Renner also competed in the A-Final of the 500 freestyle and the 400 individual medley.
Dettmann was also involved in the relay, and the junior swam the final leg of the event. Dettmann swam in two A-Finals, taking eighth in the 200 freestyle and seventh in the 200 butterfly. She also competed in the B-Final of the 500 freestyle, collecting 59 points for the Bison throughout the meet.
Kelly scored 53.50 points and Bolden scored 52 points for the Bison at the championships. Kelly swam in the A-Final of the 200 IM and the B-final of the 200 free. Her time of 2:02.16 in the 200 IM ranks fifth in school history. Bolden swam in the A-Finals of the 100 and 200 freestyle, setting the fourth-fastest time in the 100 free (50.69) and the fifth-fastest time in the 200 free (1:48.99) in program history.
Bolden, Dettmann, Kelly and Renner took bronze in the 800 freestyle relay with a time of 7:19.33 that ranks fifth in school history. Bolden and Kelly helped set a new school record in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:32.09.
Krug and Lombardi both broke school records for the Bison at the PL Championships. Krug set the record with a 321.30 in the prelims of the one-meter dive to make the A-Final. He also competed in the A-final of the three-meter dive. His score of 313.20 in the three-meter ranks third.
Lombardi broke the 100 breaststroke record with a time of 54.11, beating the previous mark by one-hundredth of a second. Beagle swam in the B-Final of the 200 backstroke and the C-Final of the 400 IM.
Bucknell is back in action at Kinney Natatorium for the ECAC Championships from Friday, February 27 through March 1.
