 - Emily Doyle currently leads the team with two goals on the season, scoring in each of the first two contests. The sophomore had the game-winner on Sunday at Lock Haven.
- Junior Leah Fogelsanger totaled three points last week with one goal and one assist. Also providing assists last week were senior Allie Christopher and freshman Mackenzie Kile.
- Senior goalkeeper Olivia Harris has 11 saves this season. The shutout on Sunday was the fourth of her career.
- Bucknell returned three members of the 2018 All-Patriot League team -- forward Brittany Willwerth, goalkeeper Olivia Harris, and midfielder Sarah Dimock.
 - Brittany Willwerth and Chloe Poltonavage were selected as team captains for the 2019 season.
 - Bucknell was picked to finish fourth in the Patriot League Preseason Poll.
About VCU/Series History
- The Rams finished the 2018 season at 12-7 (7-1 Atlantic 10) and reached the Atlantic 10 Championship game before falling to Saint Joseph's 1-0.Â
 - VCU head coach Stacey Bean has amassed a 26-14 record since joining the Rams in 2017. Prior to VCU, Bean was the head coach at Saint Francis (Pa.) for nine years.
 - VCU was picked second in the Atlantic 10 Preseason poll while Litiana Field, Matie Sturm, and Svea Sturm were named to the Preseason All-Atlantic 10 team. The team will be without 2018 NFHCA Second Team All-American Emily McNamara, who graduated in the spring after leading the nation in goals in 2018.
- The Rams opened the season with a 2-1 loss on the road to Lafayette, and will host LIU in Richmond on Friday.
 - Along with Bucknell and Lafayette, the Rams also face off against Patriot League opponent American later in the season.
 - Bucknell is 2-1 all-time when facing the Rams, including a 3-2 victory in Lewisburg last season. Brittany Willwerth is the only returner who scored in the game for Bucknell. Prior to last season, the two teams had not seen one another since the 1996 season.
About Richmond/Series History
- After going 7-12 in 2018, the Spiders have opened the new season 1-1 in a pair of road contests. A season-opening loss to #2 Maryland was followed by a 3-2 win over fellow Patriot League opponent American.
 - Richmond is led by second-year head coach Jamie Montgomery, who served as an assistant under Jeremy Cook at Bucknell from 2009-13.
 - The Spiders were picked to finish fourth in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll while sophomore Steffie Bongers was named to the Preseason All-Atlantic 10 team. Bongers was named to the All-Rookie team after recording seven goals and an assist last season.
 - Richmond goalkeeper Frankie-Lynne Conklin has allowed seven goals on 33 shots faced in her two starts this season.
 - The Spiders face four Patriot League opponents this season; American, Bucknell, Lehigh, and Lafayette.
 - Bucknell is 2-0 all-time in meetings with the Spiders, including a 2-1 double-overtime match last season in Lewisburg. Prior to 2018, the two teams had not seen one another since Bucknell claimed a 4-0 victory over the Spiders in the 1979 AIAW Division II National Tournament.
 - The Spiders will face Liberty on the road Friday before hosting Bucknell.
