Women's Lacrosse Welcomes 13 Newcomers for 2020 Campaign

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Head coach Remington Steele announced that 13 newcomers will join the Bucknell women's lacrosse team for the 2020 campaign.

"We are very excited to welcome these 13 young women and their families to our program," Steele said. "They are all phenomenal student-athletes, and we look forward to them playing a key role as we continue to move our team forward."

The incoming freshman class is balanced, featuring four attackers, four midfielders, four defenders and one goalie. The student-athletes hail from seven different states: New Jersey (5), New York (3), Illinois, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

The Bison, who have been led for two seasons by Steele, graduated only three seniors following the 2019 campaign. Those seniors were impact players, with four-year starting goalie Jamisen DeWitt and her twin sister Callie DeWitt both leaving Bucknell as All-Patriot League honorees. In addition, Audrey Walsh was among the team's top goal scorers each of the past three seasons.
