
No. 18 Women's Water Polo Hosts Three CWPA Games to Close Regular Season

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The No. 18 Bucknell University women's water polo team will host the final three games of the regular season at Kinney Natatorium on April 13-14. All three Bucknell games will be streamed on the Patriot League Network.
Note: The No. 18 ranking is the highest a Bucknell team has ever been ranked in the CWPA Poll since the 2005 season when it reached the No. 14 spot. The Bison will host Senior Night prior to Saturday's contest against Michigan.

- Bucknell is continuing to enjoy a historic season, reaching the 20-win mark over the weekend with a win against Brown on Saturday morning.
- The Bison haven't reached the 20-win mark since the 2008 season, and picked up two more wins to improve to 22-9 overall this season.
- Bucknell has three more regular season conference games in addition to games at the CWPA Championships to attempt to reach the all-time mark of 26 wins in a single season.
- Bucknell has only reached the 20-win mark four times in its history.
- Bucknell also posted a 3-0 start to CWPA play for the first time since the 2009 season.
- Bucknell defeated No. 14 Harvard last Saturday in a 9-7 thriller.
- The win over the No. 14 ranked Crimson tied the highest-ranked opponent a Bison team has ever defeated.
- The only other time the Bison have defeated a team ranked 14th was in the 2005 season in which they defeated No. 14 Hartwick, 12-10.
- Individually it was a good weekend for the Bison as well, with Ally Furano and Georgia Lewis earning CWPA weekly awards.
- A. Furano totaled 11 goals and six assists for the Bison, while Lewis posted 29 saves in three games as Bucknell held its opponents to seven goals or fewer in each game.
- Bucknell has held its opponents to ten or fewer goals in nine of its last ten games.
- A. Furano continues to impress in her sophomore campaign, the sophomore from Stamford, Conn. has now scored 108 goals this season and notched 46 assists for a total of 156 points.
- A. Furano has now easily surpassed the Bucknell record for goals and points in a single season at 75 and 128, respectively.
- Emily Konishi is currently 33-41 on sprints this season, which ranks second in Bucknell single-season history by percentage at 80.4%.
- Kali Hyham has drawn 57 ejections this season, just four off a place in the top 15 for a single season.
- In Bucknell's last six games, all starts for Nina Benson, the Henderson, Nev. native has scored 15 goals and added nine assists.

- Bucknell has defeated the Red Flash already this season, a 16-8 win down in Washington, D.C.
- Nina Benson scored five times for the Bison in that win, adding two assists for a career-high seven points. She also added a career-high seven steals.
- Paige Furano posted a career-high five assists for Bucknell in the game.
- Defensively, the Bison forced just three saves combined from Lewis and Hayley Pogue.
- Bucknell owns a 6-0 record all-time against Saint Francis.
- Bucknell has never defeated the Wolverines, holding an 0-23 record all-time.
- Michigan is ranked No. 6 in the latest CWPA poll, and is 18-8 on the season.
- Abby Andrews has scored 44 goals and added 51 assists this season, while Maddy Steere (42g) and Julia Sellers (48g) have each recorded over 40 tallies.
- Bucknell is 6-40 all-time against the Tigers, with the last win coming on April 17, 2016.
- That win was the first win for Bucknell over the Tigers since the 2010 season.
- Assistant Coach Hannah Sunday led the Bison in that game, scoring five goals and drawing seven ejections to help defeat the No. 15 Tigers. Emily Konishi also added two goals. Eliza Romeyn added an ejection drawn in the win.
