Women's Golf Underway at Hoya Invitational

BEALLSVILLE, Md. -- The Bucknell women's golf team opened up play at Georgetown's Hoya Invitational on Monday, posting rounds of 327 and 335. The Bison are in eighth place with a 662 total.
Katie Childers led the way for Bucknell with rounds of 76 and 78, which puts here in 17th place in the individual standings. Casey Morrow bounced back from an opening-round 81 to shoot a team-best, 2-over-par 74 in the afternoon. Morrow, who is tied for 18th place, had a birdie and 14 pars en route to the 74.
Also for the Bison, Sun Woo Jeon shot 80-93, and Graysen Bright posted a pair of 90s in her first action of the spring.
Host Georgetown is out to a 16-stroke lead through 36 holes. The Hoyas shot 293 and 299 for a 592 total. Richmond and Ball State are tied for second place at 608, followed by Akron at 613.
Georgetown's Christina Parsells shot 71-73 for an even-par total of 144. She has the individual lead by one shot over Akron's Danielle Nicholson and two ahead of Richmond's Annie Collom.
Bucknell and Lehigh will be paired up in Tuesday's final round, which begins with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
