Bardunias Earns Seventh PL Golfer of the Week Award for the Bison in 2025-26

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Sophomore Sophia Bardunias was named the Patriot League Women's Golfer of the Week after a third-place finish at the El Campeon Collegiate hosted by Lehigh in Florida on Monday and Tuesday.

This is the second time that Bardunias has earned the award in the 2025-26 season, and it marks the seventh time this season the Bison have won the award.

Bardunias was 17-over par with five birdies over 54 holes in cold and windy conditions at the Mission Club & Resort. Bardunias was 13 over through the first three rounds, but battled in the final round to make three birdies in a four-over par 76 to finish her tournament.

Bardunias previously won the award in the fall at the Nittany Lion Invitational where she finished seventh. Paige Richter and Joelle have won the award twice and Katherine Vice won the award once in the fall.

Bucknell is back in action in over the spring break for the Battle at Vero and the Northern Kentucky Spring Fling. Bucknell goes head-to-head with NKU on March 11 at the Grand Harbor Golf & Beach Club. The Bison then go the Sanridge Golf Club for the NKU Spring Fling from March 13-15.
