LEWISBURG, Pa. – Sophia Bardunias added another accolade to her resume as the sophomore was named to the Academic All-Patriot League team announced by the league office on Friday.
Bardunias earned her second First Team All-Patriot League honor in as many seasons. She finished fifth with a 226 at the Patriot League Championships to make the All-Tournament team. She won four Patriot League Golfer of the Week awards to tie Richmond's Hannah Lydic for most weekly awards in a single season. Her seven career PL weekly awards are second-most to Boston University's Hanako Kawasaki.Â
After averaging a 78.0 in her freshman season, Bardunias dropped to a 75.5 average over 29 rounds this season. She posted eight top-10 finishes including four top-five finishes. She earned her first career win at the NKU Spring Fling where she fired a seven-over 223 for the 54-hole tournament. She was even in the final round to secure her win.
Bardunias took third at El Campeon Collegiate and tied for fourth at the Bucknell Invitational. She tied for seventh at the Nittany Lion Invitational hosted by Penn State where she carded a two-under 70 in the first round. She became the sixth player in school history to record a round of two-under par.
The Bison took second at the Patriot League Championships for their best finish at the conference championships since winning in 2014. The Bison won a program record four tournaments in 2025-26 and set a 36- and 54-hole record at the Bucknell Invitational.
