"I was very pleased with the entire weekend from an athletic standpoint and an administrative standpoint," said Head Coach Kevin Donner. "We had some great performances with many high places , personal bests, season bests, ECAC -IC4A qualifiers, and other solid marks. I feel as though the teams are really starting to come together now. The meet was very big and competitive as well as very organized. We received very nice feedback from visiting coaches on how well one of the largest meets on the east coast was run."
Salisbury's time (11.91) was an ECAC qualifying time, as well as just .07 off her school-record of 11.84 that she set at the Patriot League Outdoor Championships last season. Salisbury was the only competitor in the field to go under 12 seconds.
Harper Stewart won the heptathlon with a score of 4303 to move into the sixth spot on Bucknell's all-time list.
The 4x100 team of Gianna Macones, Becca Rooney, Michaela Bracken, and Salisbury also placed fourth (48.08), just .02 off tying the tenth-best time in Bucknell history. Salisbury has already been a part of the second and third-fastest 4x100 relay time in Bucknell history to date.
Rooney was also a part of the 4x400 team that finished second, running the opening leg. Shaylyn Fahey, Gianna Mincone, and Tara Lyons comprised the rest of the squad that finished at 4:00.63.
Rooney also posted an 11th place finish in the 200 (26.11).
Delia Sipe (46-0 ½) was sixth in the shot put, which ranks fifth on Bucknell's all-time list and is a season and personal-best.
Molly Montalvo placed seventh in the hammer throw at 173-7.
Lauren Hazzard placed sixth in the mile (5:03.17). Alexis Auman earned a top-ten finish in the long jump (17-2 ¼).
The Bison will return to Christy-Mathewson Memorial Stadium on Saturday for the Bucknell Team Challenge.
