Women's Golf Finishes 5th at Bucknell Spring Break Intercollegiate

FINAL RESULTS
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Erin Holmes fired a 4-over-par 76 to lead the Bison women's golf team on the final day of the Bucknell Spring Break Intercollegiate. The Bison compiled a 320 team score, one better than their first-round total, and finished in fifth place in the six-team field with a 36-hole total of 641.
Meredith Langs shot her second-straight 79 for a team-best 158 total, which put her in a tie for 14th place individually. Holmes (T-14th, 159) and Casey Morrow (T-19th, 162) all turned in top-20 finished. Bucknell's No. 1 player, Katie Childers, carded a 79 on Monday in the first round but had to withdraw due to injury on Tuesday.
Appalachian State and Richmond tied for first place in the team standings with 610 composites. Richmond started the day three strokes behind, but posted a final-round 304, led by Emily Ward's 72. Akron placed third with a 624, followed by LIU-Brooklyn (632), Bucknell and Quinnipiac (643).
Danielle Nicholson of Akron finished 2-under for the tournament with rounds of 72-70 to win the individual title by five shots over Ward.
The Bison will be back in action on Apr. 8-9 at the Hoya Invitational, hosted by Georgetown at the Members Club at Four Streams.
