Women's Swim & Dive Hosts Binghamton for Home Opener

Bucknell at a Glance
• Bucknell is 2-0 (2-0 Patriot League) after downing Holy Cross (168-127) and Boston University (166-134) on the road last week.
• Against the Crusaders, the Bison won a staggering 11 events, with Maggie Wyngowski taking the 200 backstroke and 100 breaststroke. Against the Terriers, they won eight events, with Abby Merriman sweeping the distance freestyle races.
• In 2018-19, Bucknell finished dual competition with an impressive 8-1 (6-1 Patriot League) record. With their Senior Day triumph over rival Lehigh, the Bison reached the eight-win threshold for the first time since the 2013-14 campaign, when they went 8-2 (6-0 Patriot League).
• Bucknell went on to place third (482 points) at the 10-team Patriot League Championships and third (322 points) at the 24-team ECAC Championships. The Bison's third-place showing at the Patriot League Championships was their best since 2015, when they were the runners-up; they were bolstered by eight medal-winning performances, including an individual title by Maddie Hartigan in the 1,650 freestyle.
• Hartigan (1st), Julie Byrne (1st), Wyngowski (1st) and Abigail Rosenberg (2nd) were Bucknell's 2019 All-Patriot League honorees.
• Of Bucknell's 2019 All-Patriot League selections, Byrne and Rosenberg were lost to graduation. The Bison also return Emma Hadley, a 2017 All-Patriot League First Team and 2018 All-Patriot League Second Team honoree.
• Two school-record holders are on the 2019-20 roster: Hartigan (500 freestyle, 4:49.16) and Wyngowski (200 breaststroke, 2:14.98; 400 IM, 4:17.80).
• Returnees Emily Gorham (200 freestyle), Hadley (200 medley, 400 medley), Hartigan (800 freestyle), Katherine O'Shea (200 freestyle) and Wyngowski (200 medley) were members of school record setting relay teams.
• The program welcomed 10 newcomers in 2019-20. They hail from six different states: Pennsylvania (4), Connecticut (2), Florida, Maryland, New Jersey and New York.
 Binghamton at a Glance/Series History
• Binghamton is 2-0 (0-0 America East) after routing Siena (210.5-86.5) and Niagara (214-84) in its season-opening meet on Oct. 19.
• In 2018-19, the Bearcats posted a 7-1 record. They went on to place fifth at the seven-team America East Championships with 449 points.
• Amanda McGraw was named the America East Championships' Most Outstanding Diver after winning the 1-meter dive and taking second in the 3-meter dive.
• Bucknell is an unbeaten 3-0 against Binghamton. The teams previously met in 2012 (215-85), 2014 (152-91) and 2015 (170-125), with the first two duals coming at Kinney Natatorium.
Bison Host Alumni Meet and Reception
• Directly following the Binghamton dual, the Bison will host an alumni meet.
• A reception will follow in Sojka Pavilion's McGee Room at approximately 4 p.m.
A Look Ahead
• The Bison travel to Annapolis, Md., the site of this season's Patriot League Championships, for a meet against American, Lafayette and Navy.
