Bolden Wins Two Gold Medals as Bison Finish Second at ECAC Championships

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Jennifer Bolden won gold in the 100 freestyle and the Bison won the 400 freestyle relay as the Bucknell women's swimming and diving team took second at the ECAC Championships at the Kinney Natatorium on Sunday.
Navy went on to win with 818 points followed by Bucknell (597), Loyola Maryland (408), Penn (364.50), Iona (247.50) and Fairfield (217).
Bolden won the 100 freestyle in 50.55 to se the third-fastest time in school history. Kyla Kelly took bronze in the event with a time of 51.25. Renner took fourth with a time of 51.50.
Kelly Byrne won the bronze in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:15.76. She jumped into fourth on Bucknell's top-10 lists. Hanna Bingley took fourth in the A-Final with a time of 2:20.31. Keira Giles competed in the B-Final with a time of 2:26.35.
In the 200 back, Virginia Hastings took eighth in the A-Final with a time of 2:05.52. Talia Bugel won the B-Final by nearly two seconds with a time of 2:01.75.
Joslin Halsey took fifth in the A-Final of the 200 butterfly, swimming a time of 2:07.53. Emma Briganti won the B-Final with a time of 2:08.41 and Tessa Feld swam a time of 2:12.52.
The Bison ended the night with one more gold medal in the 400 freestyle relay. Kelly, Ashley Piacentino, Hanna Klingensmith and Bolden swam a time of 3:25.37.
