Men's Swim & Dive Welcomes Binghamton to Kinney Natatorium

Setting the Scene
What: Binghamton (1-0, 0-0 AE) at Bucknell (2-0, 2-0 PL)
When: Saturday, October 26 – 1 p.m.

Bucknell at a Glance
• Bucknell is 2-0 (2-0 Patriot League) after topping Holy Cross (165-96) and Boston University (149-139) last weekend.
• Against the Crusaders, a staggering 10 different Bison won individual events. Against the Terriers, Liam Pitt had a hand in four of Bucknell's nine event wins; his victory in the 100-yard butterfly ignited a strong team finish.
• In 2018-19, the Bison went 3-5 (3-4 Patriot League). They went on to place third (397 points) at the 10-team Patriot League Championships and fourth (313 points) at the 24-team ECAC Championships.
• Chadd Cummings (2nd), Charlie McFarland (2nd) and Matt McGoey (2nd) were Bucknell's 2019 All-Patriot League honorees. McGoey made the All-Patriot League Second Team for the second year in a row.
• Of Bucknell's 2019 All-Patriot League selections, Cummings and McFarland were lost to graduation.
• McGoey is the lone returning individual school record holder; he owns the Bison standard in the 200 IM (1:47.84).
• Returnees Jacob Lubinski (400 medley), McGoey (200 freestyle), Pitt (200 medley, 200 freestyle) and Jack Rose (200 medley) were members of school record setting relay teams.
• The Bison are very young in 2019-20, featuring a roster with 27 underclassmen. They have only two seniors: McGoey and Michael Park.
• The program welcomed nine newcomers in 2019-20. They hail from five different states: California (4), New York (2), Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

• Binghamton is 1-0 (0-0 America East) after cruising past Niagara, 242-52, in its season-opening meet on Oct. 19.
• In 2018-19, the Bearcats posted a 4-1 record. They went on to place second at the four-team America East Championships with 774 points.
• David Walters was the runner-up on both boards while Ross Bernstein (400 IM) and Alex Brion (100 freestyle) swam to second-place finishes at the America East Championships.
• Bucknell is an unbeaten 3-0 against Binghamton. The teams previously met in 2012 (171-128), 2014 (149-92) and 2015 (168-127), with the first two duals coming at Kinney Natatorium.
Bison Host Alumni Meet and Reception
• Directly following the Binghamton dual, the Bison will host an alumni meet.
• A reception will follow in Sojka Pavilion's McGee Room at approximately 4 p.m.
A Look Ahead
• The Bison travel to Annapolis, Md., the site of this season's Patriot League Championships, for a meet against American, Lafayette and Navy.
