Stewart Finishes Second in Pentathlon as Bison Open Season at Home

LEWISBURG, Pa.—The Bucknell University women's track and field team began its season on Friday evening with the opening day of the Bison Opener with the pentathlon being contested on Friday evening.
Harper Stewart led the way for the Bison, placing second in the competition behind Shippensburg's Erica Helm. Stewart totaled 3,092 points on the day.
The senior placed first in the 800-meter run and second in the 60-meter hurdles and the long jump. Stewart's winning 800 time of 2:28.89 was over 10 ahead of the runner-up in the event.
The Bison return to action on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. as the men's heptathlon starts the day with the 60-meter high hurdles. The remainder of the events will take place throughout the day.
