Field Hockey Looks to Clinch Postseason Berth Saturday at Holy Cross

The Bison Have Made the Patriot League Tournament 10 Straight Years

About the Bison
• Bucknell looks to clinch a spot in the Patriot League Tournament with a win over Holy Cross on Saturday. The Bison have made the postseason in each of head coach Jeremy Cook's first 10 seasons with the team.
• The Bison are 7-6 overall and 2-2 in the Patriot League after a 3-2 double overtime loss to No. 24 Boston University last weekend. Claire Lesher had a goal and an assist for the Bison. Lexi Quick added a goal, and Emily Doyle contributed an assist.
• Bucknell's two league losses came to the top two teams in the standings and both went to overtime. The other was to American.
• Senior Nicole Rupnik recently moved into a tie for 10th in program history with her 25th career goal. Her next goal would move her into a tie for eighth with Sue Lenker (1980-83) and Kelly Bruvik (2007-10). Her six goals this season are two away from her career-high of eight as a sophomore.
• Junior Sam Chanzit had an outstanding defensive save against Boston University. It was the team's fourth of the season. Sally Olson has the other three.

• Holy Cross is 3-11 overall and 2-2 in the Patriot League after back-to-back losses to Lafayette (3-2 score) and Brown (4-0).
• In addition to league wins over Colgate (4-0) and Lehigh (4-1), the Crusaders have a non-conference win over La Salle (5-4, OT).
• Emily Loprete ranks first in the Patriot League in points (22) and goals (11). Marcia LaPlante leads the league with 165 saves, nearly double any other goalie in the conference.

• Holy Cross leads 20-13 in the all-time series with Bucknell. The teams first played in 1985.
• The Bison are 8-2 against the Crusaders under head coach Jeremy Cook, out-scoring them 36-7 in those games.
