SUNBURY, Pa. -- The Bucknell rowing team took to the Susquehanna River on Sunday for a competition against Ithaca College, and the Bison eights, fours and doubles all performed well.
"It was a beautiful day on the Susquehanna River and the team showed a lot of spirit on the race course," said head coach Stephen Kish. "We are looking forward to these next five weeks as the boats are really starting to come together."
This was the team's first competition of the fall season, after the Sept. 30 Fall Classic was postponed after a week of heavy rain. The Bison will be back in action over the next two weekends at two major regattas: the Head of the Charles in Boston next Saturday followed by the Head of the Schuylkill in Philadelphia on Oct. 27.
