Bison Women Win Three Events at Swarthmore Final Qualifier

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Bucknell women's track and field won three events at the Swarthmore Final Qualifier on Monday at Clothier Field. Efe Agege, Abigail Brundage and Lauren Hudson all won individual events in the final regular season event of the season for the Bison.
Agege was the champion while competing in a field of 15 athletes in the triple jump, winning with a jump of 38-5. Hudson tied for first out of 15 in the high jump, clearing 5-4 ½. That ranks eighth all-time at Bucknell. Also representing the Bison jumpers were Jump Lapszynski and Devon McDonald, who took third and fifth, respectively, in the long jump.
Brundage was first among eight throwers in the shot put, winning with a toss of 44-6 ¼. In the javelin, Dayna Simone was third with a throw of 134-4, while Rebecca Skovira was fifth.
On the track, Laura Papili took fifth in the 400-meter hurdles, and Elyse Pettaway finished seventh in the 200-meter dash.
Bucknell will next compete in the ECAC Championships, which will be held in Princeton, New Jersey on May 15-17.
