Men's Golf in 7th After 36 Holes at Patriot League Championship

HAMILTON, N.Y. -- After compiling rounds of 311 and 305 on Saturday, the Bucknell men's golf team sits in seventh place after 36 holes of the Patriot League Championship at Seven Oaks Golf Course. The Bison are one stroke behind Lehigh for the No. 6 spot with 18 holes remaining on Sunday.
John Edler and Peter Scialabba both shot 77-76 and are tied for 24th place. Freshman Daniel Levin opened with an 80 in his first Patriot League Championship round, but he bounced back with a 2-over-par 74 in the afternoon, which was Bucknell's low round of the day.
D.J. Magee shot 77-79, C.J. Zachary had a pair of 82s, and Zachary Melnick posted 85-82 in the play-six, count-four scoring format.
Highlighted by a 6-under 66 from Jeremy Wall in the second round, Loyola Maryland is 6-under as a team (287-281--586) and has a nine-shot lead over second-place Army West Point (295-282--577). Lafayette is third at 589, followed by Colgate (590), Navy (601), Lehigh (615), Bucknell (616) and Holy Cross (650).
Army West Point's Marcus Plunkett posted a pair of 70s and has the individual lead at 4-under. Matt Oshrine of Loyola is second at 2-under, and Lafayette's Art Griffin and Colgate's Chris Wilson are both 1-under.
Bucknell will be paired with Holy Cross on Sunday, with tee times starting at 9 a.m. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com.
