Men's Golf Finishes 7th at Patriot League Championship

HAMILTON, N.Y. -- The Bison men's golf team finished the day where it started, wrapping up the 2015 Patriot League Championship with a seventh-place finish on Sunday at Seven Oaks Golf Course. Peter Scialabba, John Edler and Daniel Levin all shot 77 in the final round, leading the Bison to a 313 team score.
Bucknell finished at 929 for 54 holes (311-305-313). Loyola captured its second straight Patriot League title, holding off a late charge from Army West Point to win by four shots. Loyola was 2-under par (862) for the tournament. Colgate and Lafayette tied for third place with 896 totals, followed by Lehigh (909), Navy (913), Bucknell and Holy Cross (965).
Scialabba, Bucknell's lone senior, wrapped up his career with a T-20th individual finish. He had rounds of 77-76-77 for a weekend total of 230. Edler posted identical scores as Scialabba and joined him in a tie for 20th place.
Levin's second-round 74 was Bucknell's best of the championship, and his 231 total put him in a tie for 22nd place. C.J. Zachary and Zachary Melnick both finished with 82s, and D.J. Magee shot 83.
Matt Oshrine of Loyola finished at 1-under-par 215 for the tournament and nosed out teammate Jeremy Wall for the individual title by just one shot. Marcus Plunkett of Army West Point and Art Griffin of Lafayette tied for third at 217.
