Men's Golf Opens with Round of 302 at Kingsmill

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The Bison men's golf team kicked off its 2015 spring slate with a round of 302 on Sunday at the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate, hosted by William & Mary at the River Course at the Kingsmill Resort.. John Edler posted a 3-over-par 73 to lead the Bison, who are tied for 16th place in a quality field of 30 teams.
In addition to Edler's 73, D.J. Magee posted a 74, Peter Scialabba shot 77 and Daniel Levin 78.
Bucknell is in a four-way tie for 16th along with Cleveland State, Towson and Longwood. Dayton and Old Dominion are one shot back at 303. Fifteen teams broke 300 on Sunday, led by Radford and Loyola Maryland at 283 (+3). Boston College (285), Maryland (286) and Missouri (288) round out the top five.
Nick Pandalena of Boston College and Jack Sides of High Point share the individual lead after opening with 3-under 67s. Three others are a shot back at 2-under.
The second of three rounds will be held on Monday.
