Bybel and Adams Conclude Play at ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. – The Bucknell men's tennis team wrapped up play at the prestigious ITA All-American Championships on Tuesday. Nick Bybel was ousted in singles play, while Bybel and Bryan Adams lost their opening match in doubles while playing against some of the top competition in the country.
Bybel, who advanced to the second round of the Qualifying Draw with a three-set win over New Mexico's Hayden Sabatka on Monday, saw his run in singles play come to an end on Tuesday with a 6-3, 6-2 loss to Miami's Christian Langmo. The Hurricanes player advanced to play Bybel with an upset over 82nd-ranked Ricardo Jorge of Mississippi.
In doubles, Bybel and Adams fell 7-5, 6-4 to Florida's McClain Kessler and Alfredo Perez. Both Gators freshmen were ranked as top-10 recruits in the nation coming out of high school.
The Bison will again see top-notch competition when they return to action on Friday for the start of Princeton's Farnsworth Invitational. They will be joined at the event by Army West Point, Binghamton, Boston College, Drexel, Fairleigh Dickinson, Lehigh, Marist, Monmouth, NJIT, Princeton, St. John's, Temple and Wisconsin.
