Jackson Place Earns Honorable Mention All-America Honors

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Fresh off being selected to play in Monday's U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) North-South Game, Bucknell men's lacrosse senior Jackson Place (Wayne, Pa./Episcopal Academy) has earned Honorable Mention All-America honors from the USILA. This is the seventh straight year a Bison has been selected as an All-American.
A two-time All-Patriot League selection, including a first-team choice this spring, Place was a defensive stopper for Bucknell throughout his career. A 2014 Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American, Place was a fourth-round draft pick of the MLL's Ohio Machine and he earned the Lee S. “Bud” Ranck Memorial Award at the recent Bison Club Senior Recognition Dinner.
A veteran of more than 60 career games, Place has ranked in the top 25 nationally in caused turnovers per game each of the last three years. His 2.71 caused turnovers per game this season ranks second in the country.
Place led the Bison with 38 caused turnovers in 2014 and his 42 ground balls were second on the squad. He finished his career with 101 caused turnovers and 127 ground balls.
Place helped Bucknell to a Patriot League Tournament berth and a 7-8 record this past season. He recently graduated as part of a class that helped the Bison to 42 wins over the last four years, the second-most of any senior class in program history.
