Bucknell Places 252 Student-Athletes on University's 2011 Fall Semester Dean's List and 123 on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Two-hundred fifty-two Bucknell University student-athletes earned Dean's List honors for the 2011 fall semester. Students must earn at least a 3.50 grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) for selection to the Dean's List.
Included among the student-athletes on the Dean's List last semester were 34 team captains and 33 student-athletes earning perfect 4.0 averages.
In addition, 141 fall sport student-athletes were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll this past semester. To earn Honor Roll recognition, a student-athlete must achieve a grade-point average of 3.20 or better during the semester of competition.
Captains named to the Dean's List included: William Bachman (men's golf), Kate Bowen (field hockey), Tara Cort (women's soccer), Casey Crowley (women's soccer), Jordan Donaldson (men's track and field), Dan Dillon (men's cross country/track), Ryan Ebner (baseball), Meghan Frate (women's track and field), Nathaniel Frye (men's swimming and diving), Stephanie Fulmer (women's cross country/track), Kelly Grosskurth (women's cross country/track), Alysha Hooper (women's cross country/track), Lindsay Horbatuck (women's basketball), Madison Hurwitz (women's lacrosse), Bryson Johnson (men's basketball), Hallie Kennan (women's water polo), Sophie Kleinert (women's lacrosse), Minjoo Lee (women's golf), Gregory Maxson (men's tennis), Stephen McMillin (men's swimming and diving), Rebecca Misko (women's track and field), Sean Rafferty (football), Lindsey Regruto (women's volleyball), Spencer Richley (men's water polo), Shelby Romine (women's basketball), Amanda Skonezney (women's water polo), Mallory Smith (field hockey), Adrienne Wendling (women's lacrosse), Sarah Zargarpour (field hockey), Evan Zimmer (men's tennis)
Twenty-five of Bucknell's 27 varsity sport programs achieved a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher for the 2011 fall semester. The cross country team led all men's sports with a 3.32 semester GPA, while the women's golf and women's swimming and diving squads posted the highest GPA of all of BU's sports with a matching 3.40 team averages.
Bucknell (enrollment 3,583) competes in NCAA Division I (Division I FCS for football) as a member of the Patriot League.
