Bucknell Men's Golf in Eighth Place after 36 Holes of Joe Agee Invtitational

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Playing in cool, wet conditions at Colonial Heritage Golf Club, the Bucknell men's golf team posted rounds of 307 and 311 on Monday at the Joe Agee Invitational, hosted by William & Mary. Will Bachman's opening-round 74 was the best of the day for the Bison, who are in eighth place with 18 holes still to play.
Bachman opened with a 2-over-par 74 and then carded a 79 in the afternoon, and he is tied for 26th place individually with a 153 total. Schuyler Stitzer posted the best second round score among the Bison with a 76 after starting with a 78.
Freshman Pete Scialabba, making the travel squad for the first time, shot 76-79. Dan Bernard had rounds of 81-77, while J.J. Szmadzinski shot 79-80.
Longwood opened up a commanding 20-stroke lead after 36 holes, highlighted by a 1-under 287 team total in round two. Longwood opened with a 291, and at 578 total lead second-place High Point by 20. Towson is third at 599, followed by Old Dominion (600) and William & Mary (608).
Bucknell, which was in sixth place after the first round, is one shot behind Delaware heading into Tuesday's final round.
Austin Gray of Longwood fired a pair of 1-under 71s and has the individual lead by three shots over teammate Blake Carter and William and Mary's Jeremy Wells.
