FARMVILLE, Va. -- The Bucknell men's golf team opened play at the Manor Intercollegiate with 36 holes on Friday, and the Bison sit in eighth place after posting rounds of 303 and 313. Dan Bernard's 2-over-par 74 in the opening round was the team's best of the day. Bernard followed with a 77 for a 36-hole total of 151.
Also for Bucknell, Pete Scialabba shot 75-82.
The Bison were tied for fourth place after the morning round before slipping to eighth after the second-round 313.
Seton Hall has the overnight lead with a 580 total (288-292). Delaware is nine shots back at 589, followed by George Washington at 592, host Longwood at 594 and Towson and LIU at 605.
Longwood would be one shot out of the lead had it been able to count a course-record 63 from Dylan Jensen, who is playing as an individual in this tournament. Jensen, who shot 77 in the first round for a 140 total, has a one-shot lead over Nino Rosal of Delaware (72-69) in the individual standings.
The teams will play the third and final round on Saturday morning.
