As the end of the semester comes to an end, everyone on the team is either cramming for finals or finding free time to celebrate the holiday season, be with friends, and relax before our month-long "break" home arrives! Most of all, the team during this time of year is getting prepared and excited for the start of our lacrosse season that is just around the corner. Therefore, "break" for us is only a break from school! Time over the holidays is the time when we become dedicated to working our hardest to be the best we can be at the start of pre-season.
It is so amazing to have all the girls from abroad finally be back, as they will add a complete other dimension, energy, and strength to our team. We have missed them so much over the fall, and I cannot wait to be with them every day again both on and off the field and for all the laughs and good times to come!
Our last team dinner together at a hibachi restaurant close to Bucknell was simply amazing and was a great way to be together before we all leave for vacation and start working hard to achieve the same goal: winning the PL. We had a great time reminiscing about the fall, talking about our plans over the holidays, and catching up on our crazy, busy lives over finals. We are so lucky that we have a team where everyone is truly great friends and loves being with each other.
Though it was hard to part from the people that you usually are with at least three hours a days and now won't see for a whole month, we know that our vacation will fly by and that we'll soon be kicking off the start of our pre-season in January.
