LEWISBURG, Pa. — Two members of the Bucknell women's lacrosse team, Megan Krestinski and Bella Crowley, earned Patriot League weekly honors after the Bison went 2-0 in conference play this past week with wins over Colgate and Lehigh, the league announced on Monday.
Megan Krestinski was named Patriot League Attacker of the Week and Bella Crowley garnered the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week honor for their individual efforts in Bucknell's successful week of league play.
Krestinski, the senior attacker, totaled 13 points on nine goals and four assists. In the Bison's first outing of the week, she recorded five points on four goals and one assist in Bucknell's 12-10 win over Colgate in Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium, including the eleventh goal, which broke the 10-10 tie in the fourth quarter and proved to be the eventual game winner. The attacker followed up that performance by putting together eight points on five goals and three assists in Bucknell's 16-3 win over Lehigh, where she led the game in points, goals and assists. Along with her points prowess, Krestinski recorded seven draw controls, two caused turnovers and four ground balls throughout the week.
Crowley, the Bison's junior goalkeeper, notched an overall save percentage of .519 as she went 2-0 in the back of the net for Bucknell across the week. In total, she recorded 14 saves and 13 goals across both games for a 6.60 goals against average. The goalie opened the week with a narrow 12-10 win over Colgate at home where she recorded seven saves on the evening with a majority of those saves coming in big moments on point-blank shots to keep Bucknell in the lead and eventually earn the narrow victory. Crowley didn't slow down however as she posted a near perfect game against Lehigh on Saturday. The junior came up huge in the back of the net as she limited the Mountain Hawks to just three goals in the game as Bucknell earned a dominating 16-3 win in Bethlehem. Crowley ended the game against Lehigh with seven saves for a .700 save percentage in the game.
