LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Bucknell women's lacrosse team has been recognized by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association (IWLCA) for achieving success in the classroom with the designation of "Honor Squad." This recognition is given to teams that held a team GPA of 3.00 or greater for the 2006-2007 academic year. The Bison compiled a combined GPA of 3.20 and were one of 96 teams honored across all divisions.
In addition, five Bucknell student-athletes earned a spot on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, which honors top junior and senior scholar-atheletes. Seniors Lauren Kremer, Erin Weinstein and Shauna Weinstein, along with juniors Ashley Flood and Elizabeth Whipple, received the honor.
Bucknell's five Honor Roll recipients were the most in the Patriot League and one shy of the most in all of Division I.
Bucknell finished 7-9 overall, 2-3 in the Patriot League last spring.
