Bucknell Men's Golf Opens with 310 at William & Mary Invitational

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The Bucknell men's golf team got off to a slow start at the William & Mary Invitational, opening with a round of 310 on Monday. The Bison, who were led by 77s from Andrew Cohen (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck), Rahul Desai (Avon, Conn./Kingswood-Oxford) and Stuart Lindgren (Richfield, Minn./Richfield), are in a three-way tie for 19th place in a 21-team field.
Charlie Waddell (Wilmette, Ill./Lake Forest Academy) shot 79 and Chas Wagner (Oakmont, Pa./Hampton) posted an 84 for the Bison, who are tied with Temple and Wright State.
Campbell opened with a 5-under 279 to take an eight-stroke lead over St.John's. Campbell's Frederic Sundberg took the individual lead with a 4-under 67, two shots clear of Mikhail Pasic of Detroit and Joe Mclister of Delaware.
Round two is scheduled to begin Tuesday morning at the Kingsmill Resort.
