Bison Men's Tennis Falls to St. Bonaventure and Buffalo

OLEAN, N.Y. - The Bucknell men's tennis team fell to St. Bonaventure, 6-1, and Buffalo, 6-1, on Saturday afternoon in Olean, N.Y. Sophomore Daniel Bednarek (Haworth, N.J./Bergen Catholic) and senior Brian Cohen (Potomac, Md./Thomas Sprigg Wootton) collected the Bison's lone singles victories of the day. The Orange and Blue stand at 3-3 on the season.
Against St. Bonaventure, Bednarek posted a 6-2, 7-6(4) win over Jonathan Luce in the No. 5 singles spot. In the match up against Buffalo, Cohen recorded his victory in the No. 6 singles against Eric Rothstein, 6-3, 6-4, while in No. 1 doubles, juniors Ira Reibeisen (Armonk, N.Y./Rye Country Day-Upper) and Ben Young (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) dropped Kirill Kolomytes and Albert Alant, 8-5.
The Bucknell men's tennis squad will battle Stony Brook on Saturday, Feb. 24, at the West Branch Tennis Club in Williamsport, Pa. The match will start at 1 p.m.
