OLEAN, N.Y. -- Charlie Waddell's final-round 72 helped Bucknell to a 299 team score and a ninth-place finish at the Keenan Invitational, hosted by St. Bonaventure at Bartlett Country Club.
Waddell's 36-hole total of 148 was good for a tie for 21st place and made him Bucknell's top individual finisher.
Keita Aoki (Tokyo, Japan/St. Mary's International School) shot 74-75 and finished a shot behind Waddell, tied for 24th overall. Also for the Bison, Ryan Schneiter (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) shot 73-78, Kyle Moran (Greenwich, Conn./Brunswick School) shot 78-76 and Jeff Pike (Rye, N.Y./Rye) shot 87-76.
Host St. Bonaventure won the team crown for the second straight year. The Bonnies shot a pair of 289s and outlasted Siena by three shots. The Saints boasted the individual winner in Bryan Bigley, who produced a tournament-record 6-under 64 in the first round and followed it up with an even-par 70 on Monday.
Rider's Tyler Brewington, who was the medalist at the Bucknell Invitational last week, was the only other player in red figures at 3-under, three shots behind Bigley.
The Bison will be back in action next Saturday and Sunday at the Cornell Invitational.
