Men's Golf Washed Out in First Round of Lafayette Invitational

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- The line of severe thunderstorms that brought drenching rain to the Northeast on Friday night forced the cancellation of play on Saturday at the Lafayette Invitational, where the Bucknell men's golf team had been scheduled to compete.
Instead, play will begin on Sunday morning at Center Valley GC, and the tournament will be shortened to 18 holes.
The Bison are looking to build off an excellent final round 290 at the George Washington Invitational in Bethany Beach, Del., two weeks ago, followed by last week's second-place finish at the Monmouth Invitational.
