CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Tom Lane (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson), Ben Pellicani (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) and Kyle Moran (Greenwich, Conn./Brunswick School) all shot 76 on Sunday, and the Bucknell men's golf team finished in a tie for fourth place at the rain-shortened Lafayette Invitational.
After Saturday's opening round was washed out, Bucknell shot 306 as a team on Sunday, tying Delaware and Niagara for fourth place. Siena won the event with a team score of 300, followed by Saint Francis (Pa.) at 303 and St. Bonaventure at 305.
Charlie Waddell (Wilmette, Ill./Lake Forest Academy) and Keita Aoki (Tokyo, Japan/St. Mary's International School) shot 78 for the Bison, who have now posted back-to-back top-five finishes after taking second at Monmouth last week.
Drew Ellis of Duquesne topped a congested leaderboard with a 71. Josh Anderson of St. Bonaventure was second with a 72, and 13 others were within four shots of the lead. The Bucknell trio at 76 finished in a tie for 16th.
Bucknell will send a contingent to the IUP Invitational on Wednesday, followed by the Navy Spring Invitational this Friday and Saturday. The Navy event will be an important one, because the Patriot League Championship will be back at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Course the following weekend.
