Bucknell Golfers Washed Out at Hofstra Invitational

BETHPAGE, N.Y. -- The Hofstra Invitational, scheduled to be held at Bethpage State Park on Long Island on Friday and Saturday, has been cancelled due to heavy rains and flooding in the area. In all, eight men's teams and six women's teams were scheduled to tee-off at 8 a.m. this Friday.
This marks the second straight week that the Bucknell men's golf team has been rained out. Lehigh's Don Mershon Invitational was washed out last weekend.
The Hofstra Invitational was to be Bucknell's final event of the fall season. Officials are looking into rescheduling the tournament at Bethpage, although no official decision has been reached.
