Bucknell Men's Golf Finishes Fifth At Own Tournament

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell men's golf team shot a 316 on day two of the Bucknell Invitational to finish fifth in the 16-team field. Individually, junior Abbie Valentine finished the weekend with a fourth place finish after shooting a two-day 148 (71-77).
Binghamton, the only team to break 300 both days, won the team title with a two-day total of 587 (288-299). Loyola (303-305-608) finished second, while Colgate (297-316-613) and Lehigh (304-311-615) finished just ahead of the Bison for third and fourth, respectively.
The Bearcats individuals, Joe Kunz, Adam Fuchs and Keith Hendrickson, claimed the top-3 spots with just one stroke separating each place. Valentine joined Mount St. Mary's Andrew Hill and Loyola's T.J. Shuart in a three-way tie for fourth.
Tom Lane was BU's only other finisher in the top-10, shooting a two-day 150 (76-74) to fall in a tie for seventh.
The Bison squad is in action next at the Rider Quad Match on Thursday, September 19.
