Bucknell Men's Golf in 6th after 27 Holes of PL Championship

Abbie Valentine shot an opening round 74 and stands in a tie for 8th place overall, but the Bucknell men's golf team finds itself in sixth place out of eight teams at the midway point of the Patriot League Championship.
The Bison shot 319 in the opening round, then tacked on a 158 in the first nine holes of round two. Another 27 holes are slated for Sunday at waterlogged Saucon Valley CC in Bethlehem, Pa.
Alex Dolle opened with 78 and Tom Lane 79 for the Bison, but BU had to count an 88 from Brian Troast en route to the first-round 319. Dolle and Lane each shot 38 on the front nine in the second round, while Valentine and Ben Pellicani each went out in 41.
Navy is the clubhouse leader at 442, 15 strokes better than both Lehigh and defending champion Army. American is fourth at 467, followed by Lafayette at 468, Bucknell at 477, Colgate at 494 and Holy Cross at 510.
