NEW YORK (AP) - Dan McGrath returned a punt 78 yards for a touchdown and quarterback Mark Carney fired a 47-yard TD pass to Pete Modelski as Fordham snapped Bucknell's five-game winning streak 17-12 in a Patriot League game Saturday.
Carney finished with 135 yards on 11-for-25 for the Rams (3-4, 2-2).
Todd Wenrich, quarterback for the Bison (5-2, 3-1), scored on a 6-yard run but was intercepted three times. He finished 36-of-67 for 280 yards, tying the school record for completions in a game and shattering the record for attempts.
After Brian Colfant's 31-yard field goal gave Fordham a 3-0 advantage at 13:36 of the second quarter, McGrath raced into the end zone for a 10-0 lead.
Carney's 47-yard strike to Modelski with 53 seconds left in the third made it 17-0 before Weinrich's 6-yard run cut the deficit to 17-6 at 11:42 of the final quarter.
Bucknell's Mark Tallman recovered a fumble by Alamayo White in the end zone to account for the final TD.
