LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell quarterback Ralph Rucker IV is set to participate in an NFL Pro Day on Monday, March 9.
The fifth-year quarterback who just finished out his final season of eligibility with the Bison in 2026 will be joining athletes from another Patriot League school, Lehigh, in a Pro Day being hosted at the Nova Care Center in Philadelphia (Philadelphia Eagles Indoor Facility).
"I plan to showcase my speed, quickness and my ability to make any throw on the field," said Ralph Rucker IV. "Another attribute I hope they acknowledge is my leadership and command that I display throughout the day."
The leadership and command that Rucker is hoping shines through at Pro Day is one of the many things that the former Bison captain developed in his time at Bucknell.
"Bucknell is the whole reason I am in this position," said Rucker. "Coach Cecchini gave me the opportunity to be the starting Quarterback in 2023 and since then I've grown as a football player and a man. Having two offensive coordinators in three years allowed me to see the game from different perspectives, ultimately shaping the quarterback I am today. This opportunity to continue to play professionally stems from the hard work my coaches and teammates put in over the last three years and I wouldn't be in the position I am in today without my brothers from Bucknell University."
During his time in Lewisburg, the Texas native re-wrote Bucknell's record books as he broke several records including becoming the all-time leader in passing touchdowns with 46, passing yards with 6,931 and completions with 562. Other records the quarterback broke include single-season records in passing yards (2,826), completions (244), completion percentage (.672), total offense (2,922) and passing touchdowns (25) as well as the single game record in passing yards (457).
