Kyle Gallagher is entering his fourth year with the Herd in 2024-25 and will be in his second year as the team's offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator.
Gallagher has made previous collegiate coaching stops at Salisbury University, Susquehanna University, and Widener University. Prior to his arrival at Bucknell, Gallagher worked as a Maryland state team director and head coach for True Lacrosse.
Serving as a graduate assistant coach at his alma mater, Salisbury, Gallagher helped the Sea Gulls reach the 2019 NCAA Division III semifinals with a 22-2 record. The Sea Gulls were also 7-0 and ranked first in the nation in 2020 before the remainder of the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gallagher spent three seasons at Susquehanna, serving as offensive coordinator in 2016 and 2017 and defensive coordinator/faceoffs coach in 2018. The River Hawks were awarded Conference Coaching Staff of the Year in his first season and went 33-19 with Gallagher on staff.
Gallagher’s first collegiate coaching experience was as an assistant coach and faceoffs coach for the Widener Pride during the 2015 season, and before that coached Worcester Preparatory School, Demar High School and the Green Turtle/Quiet Storm Eastern Shore Club teams.
During his playing days, Gallagher helped lead Salisbury to three Capital Athletic Conference titles as well as back-to-back national championship titles in 2011 and 2012. He earned both his bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies and his master’s of education from Salisbury.
