A native of Pittsford, N.Y., Margo Yancey is the daughter of Michael and Sarah Yancey. She graduated from Pittsford Mendon High School and rowed for Pittsford Crew. Majoring in mechanical engineering, Margo graduated as a two-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
In her time on the Bucknell women’s rowing team, Margo helped the Freshman Eight to a sixth-place finish at the Dad Vail Regatta, and as a junior she raced in the Varsity Double at the Dad Vail Regatta. She also finished fourth in the Varsity Four at the Patriot League Championship her sophomore year. Outside of rowing, Margo was a member of the Bucknell American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Bucknell Gender & Sexuality Alliance, and vice president for the Bucknell Psychologists for Social Responsibility.
