A native of Easton, Conn., Abbie Winter is the daughter of Alpheus & Joan Winter. She graduated from Joel Barlow High School and joined the Bucknell women’s rowing team as a novice. Majoring in environmental science with a focus on biology, Abbie graduated as a member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
In her time on the Bucknell women’s rowing team, Abbie raced to a sixth-place finish in the Freshman Eight, competed in the Second Varsity Four as a junior and as a senior, and earned a silver medal in the Second Varsity Eight at the Dad Vail Regatta. She also earned a silver medal in the Second Varsity Eight at the Patriot League Championships her senior year. Outside of rowing, Abbie was a Buckwild Logistics Leader, president of the Bucknell Environmental Club, research intern for the Bucknell Center for Sustainability & the Environment, and outreach intern for the Bucknell Office for Campus Sustainability.
