Brittney Marshall joined the Bison as the women’s basketball manager of basketball operations in the summer of 2013. She is responsible for the day-to day operations of the program, as well as team travel and video responsibilities.
Prior to joining the Bison, Marshall spent three years as the director of operations and video coordinator with the Saint Louis women’s basketball program.
A 2009 graduate of Loyola University Chicago, Marshall earned a bachelor's degree in communications. She played in 44 games in two seasons with the Ramblers after transferring from Southeastern Illinois College. Marshall received an associate's degree in biology at SIC and helped lead the 2006-07 team to a 33-3 record and fourth place in the NJCAA Division I national tournament. She began her collegiate career at Tennessee State, appearing in 18 games and making three starts in the 2005-06 campaign.
Marshall spent the summer prior to her senior year at Loyola Chicago as a director of basketball operations intern with the WNBA's Chicago Sky. Her experience also includes four summers as a counselor at the Tim Hardaway Basketball Camp, a stint as a volunteer assistant coach for the Percy Julian Junior High (Oak Park, Ill.) girls' and boys' basketball teams and several years as a YMCA camp leader for the Women's Youth Basketball League in Oak Park.
Marshall arrived at SLU after working as a special-projects intern for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association, where she coordinated the WBCA's "So You Want To Be A Coach" conference at the Women's Final Four and assisted with the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund and Pink Zone Initiative among other duties.
A 2005 graduate of Oak Park High School, Marshall was a point guard who scored more than 1,900 points in her prep career. She garnered Nike All-America honors and was named honorable mention All-America by Street & Smith's. Marshall also excelled in AAU basketball for the Chicago Flames, helping lead the team to a fifth-place finish at the 2001 national tournament and four state titles.
